This cinematographic work is a celebration of the form and figure of the triple recurring in the natural, social and conceptual structures of our reality.

This bold cinematic project unfolds in three movements and an epilogue, linking the essential facets of our existence to the number that has captivated philosophers, mathematicians and artists since the dawn of time.

La Symphonie du Trois offers a reflection on the world around us, sublimated by the persistent and significant presence of the number three, embracing the dimensions of humanity, nature and wildlife in a cinematic language that is as heterogeneous as it is moving.

La Symphonie du Trois Bruno Aveillan explores the powerful motif of the trinary through a hypnotic montage of syncretic images, in which the number three remains the central protagonist. Far from being a numerical coincidence, the number three is revealed as a fundamental pillar of various expressions – from the harmony of a family playing in the waves, to a group of three birds crossing the sky, to a trio of fish swimming in symbiosis.

The sequence of images is accompanied by equally haunting sound compositions that underline the natural beauty of the trios presented and reinforce the themes of harmony, balance and, at times, perfection. The waves of music and sound effects follow the visual rhythm, providing space for reflection and contemplation of the tripartite symmetry.

The approach of this film is to capture the essence of the figure through shots of various origins that capture moments of everyday life, scenes of wilderness and elements of the urban environment. The aim is to depict how the number three occupies a fundamental place in aesthetics, social and animal organisation, and human spirituality.

The first act, « HUMAN », immerses us in turn in the representation of trios of objects suggesting past and future social activity, and in the intimacy of different groups of three people, capturing the dynamics and complexity of human relationships. From the balance of families sharing a moment of complicity, to teams of manual workers, to contemporary dancers in choreographic osmosis, the film explores the way in which this number socially and culturally shapes the way we interact.

The next opus, « NATUR », is a visual hymn to the raw beauty and symmetry found in the natural landscape. This chapter pays homage to the recurrence of three in the environment – from flowers floating on the surface of the water to raw geological formations – revealing an aesthetic buried in the very structure of the Earth.

Continuing our journey, « ANIMA » highlights the animal kingdom, where the number three reveals itself in surprising and touching ways. Three iguanas resting lasciviously on rocks, a trio of seals swimming in harmony – each scene deciphers and celebrates the triadic configurations in animal behaviour and relationships.
